Chosen to Care for You.
We believe in using the highest quality foods to make our bars because we want ZEGO bars to help you be healthy, not just satisfy your hunger. So in addition to designing our recipes without common allergenic foods like peanuts, tree nuts except coconut, soy, dairy, egg and gluten and being made in a dedicated facility (see our Food Allergen tab for more information on how we prevent and test for cross contact), we take extra steps to take care of your health needs and those of the people for whom you buy snacks. Here are some examples.
- Our sunflower, chia, poppy and sacha inchi seeds provide “complete” protein (22 amino acids). Our sacha inchi protein is pressed, not processed with chemicals or enzymes.
- Our ingredients are organic, vegan, macrobiotic, non-GMO, and paleo-friendly.
- Our bars are very high in naturally occurring fiber and low-glycemic, making them a great choice for anyone watching their blood sugar (including diabetics).
- We use sorghum syrup for additional sweetening, which is a low fructose, less processed sweetener that retains its trace minerals.
- We do not use ingredients known to cause stomach upset common in other snacks, like raw oats, inulin (chicory root fiber), and artificial sugars.
- We minimize ingredients that can be cross reactive for Celiacs (like rice, buckwheat and all oats).
You don’t need to have a food sensitivity to benefit from ZEGO’s great nutrition or natural taste. Enjoy ZEGO bars for yourself and share with confidence.
